Compliance
Web site compliance is the ability of a web page to comply with search engines’ guidelines, delivering its content in a way that search engines expect to find it. Often, web designers fail to comply with search engine guidelines, resulting in exclusion of a web site from search engine results.
Google and other search engines are in the business of providing the most relevant web pages to a search term. In order to organize the billions of web pages available on the www, Google published the Google Webmaster Guidelines – a collection of articles providing web developers a set of rules to use in order to enable Google to find, index, and include the content in search results.
